Just noticed on the VS Facebook page that the VS52 has been delayed due to a burst tyre on th runway.

Seems they've put the passengers in hotels whils they investigate.

Not sure if the will impact much on the flying schedule, especial with a 747 down in summer!

Any v flyers involved or know any more?

That'll explain why VROC is operating the VS015 4hours late today then.

""At this point in time the Ministry is not seized of all the necessary and relevant facts and circumstances that resulted in this occurrence, but extremely thankful that there has been no loss of life or limb," the release from the Ministry stated."

Thankful for no loss of life? From a tyre bursting whilst taxing? Bit of an OTT statement there I feel!

I was on the flight on the upper deck. We didn't see any red lights or any warning what so ever, fellow passengers and myself feel this could have been avoided if the control tower had actually done their job correctly. It was a pit of about 8ft by 6ft from what we could see in the dark. Quite a few passengers tried to get photos but were warned off by the airport staff.

Noticed the VS29 LGW-BGI today had 'VS29 LGW-TAB' the aircraft database has just said the VS29 has arrived in BGI from TAB around 3 hours after it would have usually arrived in BGI.

I'd assume this is to assist yesterdays flight in some way? possibly a spare part or something to do with the type?

Also noticed the VS16 inbound to LGW this morning opperated the VS27 back to MCO, think the inbound VS16 would usually opperate the VS43 or sometimes the VS15 the next day, maybe some re-shuffling? :)

It is not uncommon for the 16 to turn around and go back out as the 27. This is what has happened the past few times I have been sat at LGW waiting for the VS27
