Hi I am flying to EWR from LHR on 15 sep, and I see that it is on a 747-400 (seat config 4) all the other times I have flown this route it has been an Airbus, As I hate the feeling of crowding I have chosen the very back where the seat config is 2-4-2, I am in 64A! can anyone tell me if this is a good seat?..ie does the wall behind limit the recline?

As you already know you will be right at the back of the plane so will be the last to get served a drink and meal and last off too so will have an entire plane load of people in front of you at immegration.
You will have people continually walking past going to the toilets

I am really not that bothered about being last at immigration as the baggage is so slow at EWR and the meal service is hit or miss as sometimes they start at the front and sometimes they start at the back!

Look at LHR config 3 rather than 4 (4 is fairly new). The downstairs Y cabin is exactly the same, and it has many more ratings, including 4&5* for 64 H/K, with links to the TR's which might give you more detailed feedback.

Hi
We love the seats at the back when there is just the 2 of us flying. You get a bit of extra space down the side for your bits and pieces and there just seems to be more room around you!
We've never been bothered by people going to and from the toilets and have often been served before people further up the plane.
Hope this helps!

There is no wall behind 64A so there is nothing in the way of your recline. I have never been bothered by people queuing for the toilets when I've had these seats and I would much rather be in these seats and be last through immigration as they do feel much more spacious as there is only two seats instead of three.
