Interesting - Seems like VS075 has 'Missed' MCO too. Down near MIA according to flightradar24.

Could get busy for VS tonight.

Not a good week for the east coast, certainly with the projected path of Hurricane Irene!

As one report put it.

East coasters panic - West coasters roll their eyes.

Quote from a friend in DC who works for the Treasury Department and lives not too far from Dupont Circle:
Looks like four casualties from the airline glass collection. Quite a mess at work, but they'll have to deal with that.

As you may have gathered from the first sentence he is an airline buff like ourselves and has travelled to places that you and I can only dream of. My postcard collection from him is amazing. As a kid we learned the poem "the Golden Road to Samarkand" never dreaming that one day I would be getting a postcard from there.

However I am glad to see his priorities are right and that only four of his glassware connection is damaged. I only hope they are not ones purloined from defunct airlines. That truly would be a tragedy! :0

Well it's the talk of the town here, my VS3 landed before the tremor, but people say it messed things up well and good!

There were a series of ground stops issued by the FAA.

Having a chat with friends all over DC and the East Coast (plus Facebook), it was not bad. Folks got off work early. Loads of folks are "working from home" Wednesday.... Oddly, bars opened early today and will likely do the same tomorrow...
