Hi all.
I am currently in Miami and due to fly home saturday.
I know the Miami lounge isn't much to write home about, but does anyone know facilities on offer and whether there are showers?
Thanks

Crap lounge
Crap food
Crag drinks
No showers
Sorry to rain on your parade, but MIA is dire.

That's one of the big letdowns when flying UC, the cacky lounges on the return. At least at LHR there is the revivals lounge, again annoying as Virgin don't have the same facility at LGW. Then again BA do.

as others have said, its basic. there's a self-serve buffet of sandwiches & soup, plus snacks, beers, wines, spirits, tea & coffee. There's plenty of seating but it can get busy as its a shared lounge. there are a couple of TVs & if you're lucky there will be the days' newspapers available at the desk. There's also free wi-fi.
Downstairs in the main departure area its also very basic with a handful of the usual fast food joints, a hudson news & small duty free shop. It amazes me that for such a popular holiday destination, the airport is badly in need of a complete update, or at least the terminal that VS use is

It's definitely somewhere that VS should invest in (pray its a clubhouse!).
The new AA/BA/IB shared lounge that just opened in concourse E is up for discussion though. Some say its better than before but still not great!
