Hi Guys

First time posting and first time UC flyer. I was hoping you could answer a couple of pre flight Q's for me.

1. My flight is around 3pm - is there any restriction on how long before departure I can roll up and check in. I am going to be getting to LHR at around 9am so hoped I could go straight through to the clubhouse?

2. Seat selection - its an A340-600 I think, any particular seats to avoid or try and secure?

3. Any other advice on how to get the best out of flying UC as previous flights on club world have been a bit of a letdown!

Many thanks all!

Hi and welcome.

You can check in and go to the CH at any time, so arriving at 9am won't be an issue at all.

The general opinion of V-Flyers would be that the best UC seats on the A346 are 2-5K or 11-13A, these face the dividing wall rather than another seat so give more privacy.

Best advice I would give is to just relax and enjoy it.

i would say book a treatment as soon as you arrive in the clubhouse as they are often very busy.
also, sample the great food the clubhouse has to offer just before flying......

and enjoy!

Arriving around 9am won't be an issue - enjoy the Clubhouse experience fully. Book a treatment on arrival so you have that booked for later on.

Other than that, try woking your way through the food/drinks menu!!

Welcome morat

In response to your questions...

1. Personally I'd arrive a little later, but that's just me. If you arrive at 9, book a treatment straight away, have breakfast, have lunch, have a few drinks...

2. Seats -- the first thing I would take into account is whether or not you want to be near the bar, and select accordingly. I actually find the seats facing the wall quite lonely, but I think I am in the minority.

3. Just go with the flow. At the end of the day it is a very nice waiting room plus a nice seat on a plane. Take it as it comes and you should be very happy.

Have a great flight :)

Thanks for all the responses. Some useful stuff there I will endeavour to use.

The clubhouse sounds amazing.

Thanks again.

Best

I also agree with that as I prefer the seats facing other seats on the 343's or 346's, there also seems a wider aisle too giving you a sense of more space with these seats. It's not like your are face to face with the pax sat opposite you anyway.

We arrived at the Clubhouse at 1pm for the VS200 with no probs(thrown out of hotel)so were there far longer than you will be. We had a treatment, went and did a bit of shopping, had lunch and dinner and many glasses of champagne!

I'm in the "seats facing the wall" camp, so 2-5 for me too, prferably 3 or 4.

Have a great time.
