Pre-booking seats

We're booking flights to Las Vegas from Manchester in July (Economy class). The travel agent told me that virgin don't charge to pre-book seats (hurray!) and that some time before July we will get the option to book our seats to ensure we are together (or close by I suppose as there are 9, incl 3 children, going).

Can anyone confirm this and if so let me know how far in advance this option is available as we would hate to miss out.
Thanks
Sue

If you have the PNR for your flight, which is the 6 digit alpha-numeric code on the e-ticket then you should be able to go into the Manage my Booking page and select your seats from there. Your travel agent may be able to give you this if you don't have it already.

Please bear in mind though, that you are merely requesting seats and not booking them and your seats may be changed for operational reasons so it is as well to go into the website from time to time to check. It is also advisable to do on-line check-in as soon as possible after it opens to secure the seats.

Great, thanks for that. Appreciate things can be changed - it happened last time we flew with Virgin so half expecting it, but as we're flying with children this time I hope they're a bit more sympathetic!
