Thanks for posting Pete.

Disappointing to see that AG only receive 7% the same as red with a few extra miles! Feel it would have made more sense to put red at 5%.

Also, doesn't this contradict some of the other changes they made recently? The following page still advises of 5% discount (or 10% with VS AmEx).

I popped into my local VH store today to price next years holiday and was told about the changes, although the agent told me that the FC discount for all tiers was to be downgraded from 10% to 5%, another example of the same organisation giving out different information n(

On another note i think the red FC tier should get less discount than the other tiers or they should get more, whichever way round you look at it.

At least AU & AG show some actual business has already been given to the companies whereas anyone can with the click of a mouse be red and get the same discount, without ever having flown on VS !

Overall it shows yet another instance of the V companies gradually reducing service and benefits across every area of business.

Not been notified of this change yet but it seems minor amendments can now go unnoticed! As Cal said above, VS Amex holders get 10% discounts does Virgin Holidays FVC members, so still decent options available.

Thing is, are the discounts really that attractive? As ISTBC but I thought they only applied to the full brochure undiscounted price? As soon as there's a sale, etc. then the discount goes out of the window?

I have booked a special offer for 6 of us to fly into MCO, stay at a 3 bed villa and a car for a week for £550 p.p. in VH last sale and still received the 10% off :D
It is clear, however, that the discount comes off everything except Taxes, surcharges etc which in this day and age makes up most of the price n(

On the face of it, another downgrade of customer loyalty bonus.

I've never been that clear on the interaction and benefits of VFC, FC discount, online discount etc etc - and, in the final analysis, I'm not that worried as I appear to be able to get holidays much cheaper by booking myself as separates, or going via Charter Travel, Kenwood Travel etc.

VH, in my opinion, no longer represents value for money.

Value for money is a very subjective thing.

Cast your mind back to last year and the ash cloud chaos. Those on package holidays were laughing as they were covered for everything. Those on independent itineraries had to shell out and then claim money back, finally getting it back months later.

I booked in August '11 for July '12 and just looked at my Invoice and have only got the 7% discount. Also booked in August '11 for a Florida trip I had in Nov '11 got the miles but nothing added for money paid and never got miles for money paid for June '11 trip either. I thought you only got miles for miles travelled? ?|
Thanks
John
