Am I right in thinking that Gold Status on Velocity (Virgin Australia) - which I know is restricted to Aus/NZ residents affords access to Virgin Clubhouses when flying any class on VS?

Also can you redeem for VS flights using Velocity miles? If yes are you dependent on the same reward availability used when spending VS miles on VS flights.

Reading their website, Velocity Gold only entitles you to use the Upper check-in desks. No mention of security channel or CH access.

Under "Travel Benefits: International Airline Partners" it states access to

"Virgin Atlantic Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse owned and operated lounges^ You and a guest on presentation of membership card and boarding pass for same day travel with Virgin "

According to this page you can use VS owned and operated CHs (but not shared lounges) when flying the same day on VS metal.

All I need to know now is how the rewards bit works (Velocity miles for VS availability).
