I'm a little confused.

My family of 3 hold G-code UC tickets (points upgrade from S-code PE)and will be meeting my in-laws in England next summer. I noticed when looking through the various ticket code meanings that some UC seats allow for one visitor in the CH per ticket if flying the same day, another when flying on the same flight.

When I booked my return upgrade, I asked the very nice UC booking person if my in-laws will be able to join is in the CH and he responded "no problem," but now I'm a little congerend as G-coded tickets do not say anything about allowing any visitors into the CH.

My in-laws flight leaves an hour after ours and my wife rarely gets to see them. The selfish side of me would hate to miss the grandeur of the CH at Heathrow, but if they can't come in we'll spend our pre-boarding time elsewhere.

Any advice on this..?

I thought that if you were travelling UC, then each UC pax could take a guest into the CH.

If my info is incorrect then I have no doubt a guru will correct me.

Yes you can.

If you have an Upper Class ticket (regardless of if a G) you get a to take one guest in.

You say the In-Laws flight leaves an hour after yours. This means they'll have to leave the CH when you do. It's a guest, not a pass.

If you are flying UC then each ticket holder is entitled to take one guest flying VS that day into the CH. It does not matter if you are on a mega ££/$$ J fare or a G award ticket.

The only exception is if you get an op-up at the airport then even the ticket holder does not get access to the CH.

Just rereading your post and one interpretation of your wording is that you can take two guests into the Clubhouse, which is not the case. Each Clubhouse visitor (whether by virtue of a seat in UC or a Au card, or both) gets one guest.

BTW - how does one "fetch" one's company when we check-in in two different places? Will the VA folks help corral us together eventually?

The best way to do this is, when you arrive at the Clubhouse reception, there will be a door dragon (nicer though) who will check your boarding passes, and tick you off on your flight on their computer. As they do this, say to them that you would like to include two quests, give the door person their names and flight details. You then go in and when your in laws arrive they should be invited in as your guests.

You'll have to tell them where to go of course, or they can ask when they check in (just ensure they say to the agent that they'll be visiting as guests, or they may get a funny look!). Or are you in touch by phone or text in the UK?

If you all arrive at LHR for your flights at the same time your in-laws can check-in at the UC desks with you and then use the private security channel as well and then go to the CH together.
