Hi folks:)
Just a quick bit of info needed.

Me and my partner are flying on the A330 MAN to MCO and earlier today i phoned VA and paid £100 for 2 exit seats. Are these in just row 50AC/HK as i have read a review and seats 49DEFG are classed as exit seats also(dunno how true it is though).

I hope i have not spent £100 to sit in a middle 4 seater which other passengers use as a walk across.

Thanks for reading.

Yes the 50 AC/HK are the exit rows.

I have never heard of the DEFG seats being classified as 'exit row' (I thought there was a bulkhead infront of them?)

On the 330, 49DEFG are also classed as extra leg room seats since there is no bulkhead on the A330.

Not sure if these are classed as exit seats or extra leg room seats??!

Get to the airport early i guess.

I have booked an Exit row for my LGW-MCO Friday week. is it only 50 that is ER -not 30 as well ??

had hoped to be able to get off fairly quickly -50 will defeat that :-(

also I am guessing the centre arm rests dont lift and A and K may have the door jutting out restricting leg room a bit ?

The door bustle on the A340/A330 does not interphere with the extra leg room at all due to the distance of the seat to the door.

The extra leg room seats and exit seats are located between doors 3 and 4 so sadly you will not benefit from priority dismbarkation unless you are seated in PE.

For such a long flight I would recommend the 30GBP extra leg room seats which are AC/HK seats or if you can then 50GBP for the exit row.

Personally the 30GBP offer plenty of comfort.

Just checked in online and have been allocated 49D and 49E so the 4 middle seats ARE classed at exit seats, so i have just paid £100 to sit in a middle 4 seater.
A little bit peed off, hopefully i can change them for a window seat when i get to the ticket desk in the morning. It's a full flight so i'm not gonna hold my breath!

SO BEWARE FLYER'S! :(!

Just to clear things up and for future flyers on the A330....

50 A/K are normal seats but have the emergency slide in front.
50 C/H and 49 DEFG ARE classed as EXIT seats.

Beware of paying extra to sit in seats 49 DEFG as during the entire flight passengers were constantly walking through this row!!!!!

Thanks for the information, Lee.

It is strange for DEFG seats to be classed as exit row, but I guess with the amount of legroom they actually offer it is the only option VS have. If they sold them as extra legroom, they would offer so much more space than all the other extra legroom seats it wouldn't be fair on those not getting that row.
