Might this be a route for the A330s which are due next year? Now that's assuming that Virgin will still be taking these aircraft - tbh, I've given up on the whole if/when/are/will/what discussion surrounding said aircraft. I think you'd need to be a bloody Philadelphia Lawyer to work out Virgin's aircraft allocations and future fleet plans!!! :D

Now let's say that VS do indeed defy the odds and take delivery of all 8 outstanding A330s, is LHR-DXB really the ideal route? I mean, you've got BA 2x daily (correct me if I'm wrong) and the mighty Emirates at 5x daily - with 3/5 (again, correct if wrong) being the A380.

Now I unfortunately don't live in London, nor fly from LHR a lot, but I would think it a better idea to launch some new routes to places like SEA, GIG, EZE, MEX, GRU etc. This would require thinking outside the box (never a bad thing) and being innovative - something which seems to be lacking from VS nowadays.

But hey, that's just my £0.02. :D :D
