Hi
Not sure if this question has been asked before.
We are flying from Manchester to Orlando in a couple of weeks on the new A330 in premium economy, and we were wondering if there is socket's to charge our ipad whilst on route?
Thanks in advance
Sharon
Just got the suitcases out this afternoon ^) ^)

Yes, there is a standard UK 3 pin plug socket, at ankle level, between the PE seats on the new A330's.

However, the battery life on the iPad is amazing. Even with 2 kids and fairly heavy use for games, movies, music etc. there is always plenty of juice left over after a long-haul flight if fully charged beforehand. Once you factor in take-off, landing, meals, and other activities like inflight entertainment, reading etc. it always amazes me how little time I actually spend on the iPad despite thinking I'm going to be addicted to it during the flight.
Of course if you also have along trip to the airport each end, time at the airport then I can see one could use it all up!

whilst the facility may be offered and available it might be best to make sure your ipad is fully charged before you travel just in case of any problems

I took my iPad with me recently to and from SE Asia. On the outbound the battery life lasted for an hour long flight to LHR after a spell in Cork airport followed by a couple of hours in the lounge in LHR and several hours on the flight to Singapore. On the return leg it was even more impressive as I used it more or less continuously during the 14 hour flight without the battery running out. MAN-MCO is a puddle jump compared with that.
