I am off to NY at the beginning of next month for a short break and will be returning home on VS10 (22:25 departure) as i don't really want to be pulling a suitcase around with me all day what is the earliest time i can check in and drop my bag for this flight.
Can i drop my bag at 2pm when the desks open? or do i have to wait until 4 hours before departure for them to accept the bag?

many thanks

I have bag dropped at 2pm for the VS10 previously... a few "you are quite early sir" comments... but at least I got rid of the bag!

Unless you are planing on spending the next 8 hrs in the CH why not leave your case at your hotel and pick it up in the early evening after spending the day in NYC before heading to JFK?

Seems a waste of time (at least an hour to get from down town to JFK) to go to JFK then another hour go back into town then back to JFK in the evening

I always try to book this return flight because it means you get another whole day in New York - perfect.

Do OLCI, next day leave your bags with Bell services and they may even arrange a timed taxi for your trip to JFK. Also the main rush hour traffic will have left Manhatten by the time you need to leave so your journey should be easy too.

Enjoy your trip, sooooo envious :)

Looking at date of OP's post, they have already been on the trip

Indeed I have returned from the trip.

That was a flight with an interesting experience of the TSA at JFK and the pax infront of me wanting to get to the plane without going through security.

I did dropp the bag at 2 and then went to explore the airport for a while before sitting in terminal 4 watching the bit of taxiway I could see through the window.
