And does anyone know how many miles it costs? - Presumably the same as LAX or SFO?

When I tried a dummy booking for a 'G' it reverted to NYC and I couldn't choose YVR from the drop down list in the booking engine.

VS IT strikes again !

Yep -- same happened here too, it's very frustrating. I find it astonishing that they are so sloppy. Mind you, BA's reward engine falls over all the time, so VS are not unique.

What is worse it took them until yesterday to be able to book YVR on the VS website at all!

What other company would launch a new product but not make it available on its own website yet allow other sellers (expedia / opodo) to sell that product??

I wonder if SRB includes that in his book?

That's because these are 2 separate systems. Like all airlines, VS have 2 fare inventory systems, GDS (the system travel agents access) and their own fare inventory system (what you book on the VS website).

Thanks for pointing out the the mileage redemption for Vancouver was in the table of redemptions

I tried using the spending calculator - which doesn't know where Vancouver is - and gave up

I ought to know that with Virgin IT, Vancouver would be 'half in, and half out' of the website !
