Using miles for a Continental flight ?

Hello

I have 240,000 virgin air miles

I would like 2 upper class returns to Calgary

Am I allowed to use these miles with continental ? It says they are a partner and to redeem miles would be 100,000 each return business class ticket

My question is really can you only use the miles on a ticket to where virgin and continental both fly to ? or could it be used for a direct return with continental to Calgary ?

wonder if these rewards are easy to get ? and how they would compare to virgin upper ?

many thanks in advance

You should be able to use miles on the Continental network, not just routes codeshared with VS. Note, the Continental network, any UA coded flights will not be available.

Let us know how you get on?

Note, no "direct" flight to Calgary, the CO Web site is giving me routing through Houston ...

If you have an EF subscription or guest pass you can search CO award availability there!
