Just got an SMS text message from "VirginHols"

"Coming your way soon, the Virgin Holidays sale starting on 26 Dec'11 with great savings for all; but hurry it won't last forever!"

So don't book anything before Christmas

At the risk of sounding like "bah and humbug" VH have had intermittent sales (10% and the like) for several months now.

Still worth a tickle but often not combinable with FF discounts.
