Select ticket-where to go?

Recently as a family we were voluntary offloaded from the flight back from LAX. We are now in possession of a select return ticket each to use anywhere on the Virgin network expect Sydney.
I am asking a bit of an "open" question here, if you had the ticket where would you go?
We have travelled the East and West coast of the USA and would like to try somewhere different
Any ideas?
Happy New Year to you all.

Other than Sydney the place I would like to visit most (on a VS route) would be Cape Town.

We had this dilemma a few years ago after being voluntarily offloaded from a flight to NYC. We made the mistake of asking our children, and ended up with a caribbean habit... :D

Given a couple of threads from a few months ago, I think I would opt for - where they have availability on the dates you want to travel. 8D

If all of your family want to be on the same flight, before you set your mind on a particular destination, it may be worth putting a call in to VS to see what destinations have multi seats available. This is particularly pertinent if you want to travel in peak times, such as school holidays.

From past experience, flights to NRT often have very good availability.

I am currently in Japan (Kyoto at the moment) having arrived with VS on Monday. Fantastic place :) . I heartily reccommend Cape Town too.

What class of travel is this for, out of interest?

ISTBC but Select Vouchers are for Economy Class only. Again, I think you can exchange them for miles (40k?) to contribute to other other classes of travel.

Per Nick's comment, you do have to be flexible about where and when you want to go - but that's part of the fun.

I too have a select voucher and was wondering if anyone knew if you can book a seat in economy using the voucher and then upgrade the seat using existing miles in your account?

Thanks in advance,
Mark

I'd give Vancouver a try!

Have to agree with a couple of others, Cape Town would be my first choice.

If you decide to go there and would like a few tips on things to do, give me a shout. We have spent many happy times there.

That would be my choice as well y) It's a new route and an expensive one at that, so make the most of your Select vouchers.
