I've been invited to a Virgin "Mystery Event" next Tuesday where "something" will happen and Sir Dicky will be on hand at the proceedings. I know no more (other than the secret location)... but so you can follow what it's all about, I've set up a new Twitter account, and I'll use that to tweet and show pics of the event as it happens.

Who's going to start the book on speculating what this is all about then (alliance... aquisition... new product offering... etc...)

I hope people will post here, I don't "do" twitter, but may have to investiage what it's all about......what happens when you "foolow" something?

As for what it's about, more wild promises and do tangeable delivery?

Does sound interesting.

Maybe it'll be Virgin announcing that they've found the paint necessary to make sure the whole fleet is in one livery!

The fact its an "event" tends to suggest Mountains of hype and some hint without commitment, of something happening "next year"/ "soon"/"over the coming months"....

Lets hope I'm wrong.

- Alliance

It may, of course, be all or none of the above. It may actually be a non-VS Virgin company. I have no clues....

Yep, Virgin Money related, what with the ad that's on at the moment.

I go with the Bank news - I noticed the other night that Newcastle United are now sponsored by Virgin Money, with their logo all over the ground in place of Northern Rock. 8D

Banking is the way to make a shed load of money as we all know. It is also a no risk situation, cos if you mess up the good old taxpayer will foot the bill. :0 n(

Oh yes, the finance stuff has slipped my mind (well I'm only a banker after all...). Perhaps we'll all be able to convert our miles into money to deposit in his accounts. I'd settle for a rate of a pound per mile...
