Drive thru check-in at LHR

I know VS have trialled allowing UC passengers who do not qualify for a CDC to use the drive-thru check in at Heathrow in the past (as long as they pre-register details of the drop-off car with Virgin).

Can you still do this, or do you have to have the email from Virgin inviting you to use the DTCI? Only asking as parents are off to Dubai next weekend and would like to drop them off at DTCI if possible. They are flying in UC, but did not book the flights direct with Virgin if this makes any difference.

Thanks
James

Just give the UC phone line a call to book the arrival slot and give them the car details.

And just to clarify, this isn't a trial any more but a standard feature for UC pax... Kind of hoping it might get extended to AUs at some point too...

I did it for our pre Christmas NYC trip.

(sorry for the non shortening of the URL)

Worked a treat, though the driver had to do a go around as the bottom of the ramp isn't well advertised. The phone call itself took very little time as the agent got most of the details from the booking.

It made the start of the trip feel very special.
