Clearly a few flights have been pulled recently, guess because of light loads, and 3 346's out of action at MNL, anyone know why the 651 has been delayed overnight for the last 3 nights, when there has been an unallocated 346 at LHR?

Believe it's related to the strike action happening over there at the moment, affecting the airport too!

There has been a general strike in Nigeria which has caused all sorts of delays and cancellations.

Can I respectfully suggest you avail yourself of the VS 'flight status' page on the VS website as this might help you with your queries on delays etc. As might websites such as http://www.aviationherald.com and the many 'flight tracker' websites.

Unless a v-flyer happens to be on a particular flight and reports it or there is a news story we don't often get to know the actual reasons.

Many thanks for the clarification, so nothing VS can do I guess

I note the VS website has made it much easier to see which flights are delayed, but as far as I could see, does not offer any reason for even the severe delays. Thanks again...

Just to let you guys know that the general strike has been "suspended" and all VS651 and 652 flights should be operating as usual. Which is of course taking off at least 30 minutes late but still managing to land early or right on schedule
