Hi I will be travelling upper in April to Orlando and will be looking to purchase a couple of new clubs whilst there (would be rude not to!). Has anyone done this before? As long as I box them up can I just checkin as normal? Thanks in advance for any replies

Yep, we've done it on more than one occasion. The store will usually box them for you and they will have to be checked

I brought a couple of clubs back in a carton and got stopped by customs who wanted to look at the clubs. Fortunately I had hit a few balls with them which I maintained were used and mine but did not warrant them being put in a large golf bag. No problem after explaining that.
Since then I have taken my golf bag each time (with my own clubs I might add) and had no further stoppages.
