Virgin premium economy Manchester to Barbados august 2012?

I have read that the Manchester and gatwick 747's are due to be refitted in the coming months. Is that correct? If so will they be finished by august this year?

Yes, the LGW/MAN planes are being re-fitted this year. The first one is scheduled to enter service in April and the refit will continue until October/November. The chances of having a refitted plane in August are about even

Yes, starting March 2012 through to December 2012 all 747-400's ex gatwick/manchester are getting the upgrade to economny and premium economy cabins, not sure about upper though. I have a flight booked in pe from lgw in May and unable to select a seat in this cabin as va will not know which plane/seat numbers will be available until nearer the time, chances are anybody from May could be on 1 of the upgraded planes! I assume they will be starting with the eldest of the fleet i.e Hot Lips

Thanks, we flew pe upstairs on hotlips last year, it was dreadful! Fingers crossed we get a refitted aircraft this year.

The Only one not being done is g-VTOp which is leaving the fleet in 2013
