Hi,

I'm new here, I haven't flown virgin for more than 10 years! I'm due to travel to Orlando from Manchester on 31st March. We will be travelling on my daughters birthday. We have pre-ordered some cupcakes and a bear to be delivered during the flight.

Does anybody have any tips on what I could do to make her day special, is there anything else vergin will do? 8 hour on a plane for your 7th birthday is a but dull!!

Many thanks in advance.

Neil

all i could suggest is to ask the crew.

i have seen on flights a birthday card being given to a pax by the crew and all the Y cabin singing happy birthday.
I have also been on a flight to MCO where an announcement was made over the PA wishing a pax a happy birthday. followed by several other announcements for any birthdays that month!

Many years ago my son was invited to the cockpit on his 10th birthday then given the Captains cap to wear as he helped the CC hand out the duty free. y) Seeing the huge smile on his face I was seriously worried the holiday could only go downhill from there!

Sadly I imagine security issues have probably put an end to this, but I am sure something will be possible and I wish your daughter a very happy and fun birthday flight. ^) ^) ^)

Perhaps a little present each hour? Or you could create a fun challenge with questions and clues on the flight?

You could ask if your daughter could go and see the captain after landing but you will have to wait for everyone else to get off first before the crew can take you up there

When I was young we regulary used to fly out on my birthday for our Summer trip to Orlando. My parents used to sell it to me as having the longest birthday... That made it special enough for me y)

Thanks everyone, my daughter does think it's great that she will have a very long birthday!!! I'll mention it to the crew when we board and I'll have a few surprises for her during the trip.
