I'm not crazy about the 340 seats in UC and am wondering if there are ANY 747s servicing the region. I the "Toolbox" but wasn't able to get it to show me.

Is the 90K miles for one way, Shanghai>London>NYC the best way to pay for this or are there other options. Traveling in May/June. (Options such as with Hawaiian Air, who seems to have a RT deal for anywhere in the world from mainland US for 140K miles, RT! (That's 40K less that VA!!!)

Sorry but all the Asian routes are serviced by the 346s. The 747s do the the USA routes and seasonally the JNB route

Interestingly I woudl think VS could fill a 747 LHR-HKG without any problem as it is usually very full. The problem would be that the same plane continues to SYD and it would be half empty on that leg.

I guess the superior cargo capacity of the A340-600 is attractive too
