My fav plane, Madame Butterfly has been in Manila for 5 weeks now and due to fly back to LHR 18/02/2012... does any one know why?

Worth doing a search of the forum on Manila - you'll discover that the Airbii are looked after by Lufthansa Tecknik for their big checks and that their facility is in Manila.

I guess there isnt another one due in, hence her coming in direct, rather than on the VS200/201 cycle through Hong Kong in service

She is first for retirement so I suppose there's a chance she's not going to be rejoining the fleet. Seems a little early for that though.
