Hi,

I am new here and this is my first post so please be gentle!

I have really enjoyed reading many of the posts on the forum and it's been really informative. One thing I am unable to get my head around is when I am likely to be able to view my PE seat info for my trip on 29th July 2012 (VS027) on the VA site.

I understand there are refits etc but I'm just after a better idea of when this info will be available to me.

You will be able to select a seat when on line check in opens 24 hours before your flight is due to depart.

Thanks, is that the earliest we can do it? I was under the impression we could do it a few moths in advance?

You would normally be able to request seats some time in advance but because of the refits to the LGW/MAN planes this option has been suspended for PE passengers between April and November when it is hoped the refit will be completed. This is because there is to be a change with the config of the PE cabins and it won't be known till 24 hours beforehand which plane will be on which route.

All PE passengers are affected so the trick is to get in as soon as OLCI opens 24 hours before the flight

Does that mean then if some of our party fly out in Economy and home in PE that they wont be able to see their flight details also?

They will be able to see and select seats on the outbound economy leg from when they book (provided the 60% of seats that are available for pre allocation haven't already been selected) , but not on the return leg until OLCI.

The PE seat request restriction applies to all flights to and from LGW, MAN and GLA util Novembert (then there is a blanker restriction for all BS flights after then)

Your friends will be able to request seats on their economy leg but not the PE one at any time by checking their 'manage my bookings'.

Thanks guys. Their seats aren't available to view and they've not been since we booked in July 2011.
