Hi all, newbie here :) flying UC to LAX in May, my husband and I using his airmiles so this is a real treat and a one off for us. We're on VS023 so departing at 15.45. Want to enjoy the Clubhouse and ideally would like to get my hair done 8D I know hair and spa are first come first served, realtistically how early would I need to get there to get an appointment?

7am?

No, seriously, it is very difficult to say I all honesty, as it will just depend what the option pax in the CH on the day decide they want as a treatment also. If every pax decides they want a hair cut then obviously here aren't going to be enough appointments and even getting there 3 hours in advance might not be soon enough if 2 pax arrive 5mins before you and book the available slots up

On the other hand, no other pax might want a hair cut so you could get one at say 90mins out.

Sorry there is no definitive answer, but I hope you will still enjoy the UC experience haircut or not.

Thanks - I know this is a "how long is a piece of string" question lol. I wouldn't be surprised if my husband has us at the CH for 7am! Very much looking forward to the CH as much as the flight y)

In the days of pre- booking I would always book a cut (and try and get my favourite stylist) but now the facility to book prior to arrival in the CH has gone (for all bar a small group) it's a risk I won't take. I can't think of anything worse than my hair being like a birds nest and not being able to have it cut :0 (and I think most women would feel the same). If you're just after a wash and blow dry it's a gamble you might be prepared to take.
I've recently discovered the joy of Shellac manicures (my first being done in the CH) and highly recommend them y) .Almost three weeks of a non- chipping, non-flaking French manicure (despite 6 flights, associated baggage lugging and immersion in the Pacific Ocean ).Awesome :D .

Yeah I'm just after a wash & blow dry. I'm also on a diet and and going to the gym as part of my master plan to be mistaken for Cheryl Cole 8D I'll try and do my best with my hair myself in the morning and fingers crossed I get booked in. Thanks for the tip on the shellac manicure. We're doing 2 days in London, 3 days in LA and 10 days in Vegas so a regular manicure probably won't stand up very well to that. I shall add it to my list of things to do before we go lol y)
