claiming FC miles when flying with partner airlines

Hi,

We are flying to India with Jet in November, flights all booked as part of a trekking holiday. How do I go about claiming the FC miles for these flights? Will I have to wait until we get home and send copies of boarding passes etc?

thanks

KW.

If your FC number is in the Jet booking it *should* happen automatically but I'd keep the BPs etc until the miles have posted in case you need to claim them.

they won't be, as all booked through a trekking company, before I had an FC account. I suppose I could email the tour operator and ask that they put it against the booking?

cheers.

ask at check-in at the airport then (But still keep the BPs until the miles actually post). Probbaly too complicated to get the tour people involved !

We are travelling in May with US Airways and I emailed their reservations staff asking them to add my number to the booking - the did, and it's now showing up and listed as a virgin Atlantic FC number on the booking.

Also keep your eticket/ticket. VS require you to send that along with your boarding pass stub to claim miles if they do not appear after a reasonable amount of time. There is a Claim miles form on the website for you to fill in, print out and send along with your documentation. VS will then confirm with the airline and then post your mile. The length of time will depend on the airline you flew.

Hopefully you will not need this service and the miles will post once Jet have the number in their system but it is useful to know what is required if that does not happen
