VS001 delay 28 March 2012

Hearing flight is being delayed as member of crew been taken ill, paramedics seen boarding the airplane as passengers were waiting at the gate.

Annoucement made expected to depart in 2 hours.

Hope member of the crew not too seriously ill

UPDATE:
1st officer taken ill on flight deck
and for anyone who believes in supersitions.... its at Gate 13

I would be interested to hear where you got this information from, particularly as the radio trunk at LHR is encrypted.

Was it heresay or fact?

well who ever is ill I hope they get better soon and the flight is not delayed for too much longer.

Flight status is showing a 18:00 departure now and an hour's delay for arrival,

That was the announcement that was made when passengers were asked to leave the gate. Can only go by the information received. What and how did you hear then?

I'm a senior ops manager at Heathrow, and the radio calls for medical staff go out on a open channel.

I don't believe it was overly serious; a paramedic response is the SOP for any medical call. Either way, the individual walked off the aircraft of thier own accord.
