I have read on a number of previous TRs about PE pax getting Fast Track stickers for security.
Is this still the case or even relevant any more?
Thanks!

I flew PE twice out of LGW a year apart with the most recent flight on the 1st September 2011. On both occasions we were given fast track stickers for security at LGW.

I went through fast track last time, and it took about 20 minutes. A friend went through normal departures and was through in about 2 minutes, I'd do that next time I'm in LGW...

It is no doubt the time of year we travelled but on both occasions there was no wait for the fast track security. y)
Gatwick's website actually states that:
In 2010, it took on average just 1 minute 47 seconds to pass through security and over 97% of the time passengers got through in under five minutes. Our new security areas will help us deliver a safe, speedy passenger focused service to help all our guests start their journey.

Probably best to size it up on the day.

I went through security in LGW recently and with the new system it only took minutes - and that was with a delay in the lane I was in while the security bods perused in detail something that was seen on their monitor

Earlier this month, Mrs Buns and I travelled through the new Fast Track Security at Gatwick on PE tickets. Stickers were on our Boarding Cards and it took a matter of minutes.
The new set up has a separate entrance for wheelchair assisted passengers which was the problem under the old system

Got through normal security last week in minutes. Infact it was quicker than the last time i went through the fast track.

Is there a similar service at LHR? I can't recall that I've ever heard of it

Yes, there is a separate Fast Track (apart from the VS private security channel) in LHR. You show your boarding pass to get through. It has a separate entrance to the main security but feeds into the Duty Free area like all the other channels

That's not for VS PE passengers though, right?

Correct. LHR Fast Track is only for business class (so, in VS terms Upper Class) passengers.
Oh, they used to do stickers for gold card holders too, from memory, regardless of class - not sure if they do any more but I haven't heard of it being removed.
