Hi all,
When booking car hire through the VS Flying Club, I would like to get a quote from AVIS.
The FC page says to remember to input my AWD number found on the back of my Flying Club card, in the format N123456 However, on the Avis site the Wicked number (which is the only place you could enter it) is in a different format (GB-GB-2344)?
I don't want to miss out on any discount for being Silver. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? ?|

The Silver Flying Club number is N645801
You should be able to put it in if you go via the Virgin Flying Club website into Avis under partner offers...
If you decide on Avis it is worth joining their Avis Preferred scheme |:)

Hi Sunshine,
Thank you for the reply.
That's the number I have tried to enter (I didn't realise it was the same for everyone) and going through the route you say, so maybe I am putting it in the wrong place!
Have you been happy with Avis? Does the Preferred membership allow you to check in online to avoid queuing?

Oh it should work....however I usually book through BA exec club as they seem to have better rates.
With Avis Preferred you register your driving licence and a credit card and airline loyalty card with them in advance and then you bypass the Avis desk at the airport and go straight to the car area. They have a 3 minute promise which is usually about right. They also keep the preferred cars closer to the office too. I have often had a free upgrade too.
Hope that helps.

Sorry for hijacking this thread!
Does anyone know if the flying club AWD waivers the young driver surcharge with Avis?
I know that some corporate codes do and any way of avoiding it for a 3 week rental would be brilliant!
