Manchester to MCO queries

Just a few questions please.
Last year we went Man to MCO in PE outbound & Upper inbound and it was ideal for us. We cannot book until July for various reasons but I just want to be prepared for the best way to use my miles. I have 72,000 & DH has 28,000.
1. Last year when I rang the Flying Club red number for some reason, the person I spoke to said that I should have rung the Upper class number. Is that still correct?
2. We hope to fly early September & return early October and there are still some seats available for miles only, so maybe I will get one flight for 85,000 miles. I did chat to someone online at VS a few weeks ago when I was looking for available flights & she said that as long as my DH & I are on the same booking we can combile miles so that we will be OK for miles for one ticket & DH will pay for his flight as normal. I appreciate that there may be no miles seats available by the time we book & in that case we would both have to pay full price. Is the info correct that we can combine miles if we are on the same booking?
3. We will potentially have another 18,000 miles by the time we book. Does anyone have any idea whether there would be a possibility of using miles for a M+M flight for the same route if such a seat was available? and How many miles would be required for PE out & Upper back?
4. Is the baggage allowance still 2 x 23Kg outbound and 3 x 32KG inbound?
Thank You so much for reading this and sorry it's long but I wanted to get everything in at once.

Hi,

1) yes if you are looking to book a flit that includes all or part in UC then you can call the UC reservation number

2) you can combine miles, but only in set amounts that equate to a sector. So if say a UC round trip is 100k then you could use 50k from 2 different accounts, as that equates to 2 x one way amounts. You couldn't use say 65/45k split, irrespective of if you are one booking or not.

3) yes you can use M+M, it is 2k miles for Y, 7.5k for PE or 15K for UC plus of course the fare element. Do check what the saving is as quite often the saving isn't that huge.

4) yes the PE baggage is still 2x23kg and UC is still 3x32kg.

Thanks Neil, I was beginning to think I'd asked too many questions. I can have a think about transferring some miles from DH account to mine & paying for it to get my flight & we'll just pay for his. Cheers.

You certainly couldn't as it works out as 110K |:)
