I am trying to book a flight to YVR outbound in K-Class Premium Economy and returning in S-Class Premium Economy. Is there any way to do this online, or am I forced to do either all K-Class or all S-Class?
Many thanks,
Andrew

You will have to call VS to do this.

Assuming you're doing this with the view of upgrading the return, you'd definitely want to do this by phone anyway to ensure you get the upgrade sorted at the same time (and for that matter check that there is availability if you haven't already...)

This is a problem with the web site. Sometimes, depending on availability, it will give you K and S class but it does not actually give you the option to select them manually.
I have also found that sometimes the VS staff cannot combine these two are. Usually they can but not always.
Similarly sometimes they cannot always book and L and S (even when available).computer says 'no' and thats it !!

My reply is a compilation of what has been said, plus a question!
You cannot force the website to do this; it may, however, do it automatically if the return sector has no more K fares available.
Presumably you want to do this to upgrade the return -- in which case you need to phone VS anyway, so you might as well call to start with, because then you can book exactly what you want in one fell swoop with no subsequent change fees.
And that leads to my question -- you would only want to do this to try to upgrade, right? For a moment I wondered if you wanted to have more flexible conditions on the return sector, but then I remembered the rule that says that the most restrictive conditions on the ticket apply to all sectors.

Thanks. It was for an upgrade, which in UC on the YVR route there seems to be a lot of availability for.
I was hoping I could avoid having to call - which turned out to be a wise desire as the call I ended up making took over an hour to complete because of computer problems at VS' end - but there we are.
