Is there a problem with the datafeed into v-flyer or have there been no VS9/10's in May yet?

The 9/10 rotation was operated by Sweet Dreamer yesterday/this morning (still airborne). It looks to me that the flights were cancelled on the previous two days, however -- light loads, perhaps?

maybe light loads yes - which is why I was concerned - as I am booked on VS 9 on 17th May and current PE looks lightly booked according to seat map

I reckon you'll be OK. I had a look at the seat maps for the other cabins and they are far from empty (I know this is an unreliable and imperfect method).

However, I just did a bit of research and it looks like they have cancelled it on Tuesday (8th) and the 15th. I am on it on Wednesday and was wondering if it might get pulled.

If they are showing cancellations out to the 15th already maybe they have already decided which ones get pulled for that week.

I think there have been a few flights pulled in the last week or so, there have been 3-4 a/c on the ground overnight at LHR whereas sometimes there have been none, or even the 601/603 delayed overnight if one plane went u/s

The seat maps aren't really a clear indication of the bookings as not everyone selects seats at the time of booking - and remember, some people who have made reservations through travel agents, etc may not get their PNR until nearer the time of departure.

Earlier this year I was for the longest time the only person with a seat selected on my flight to DXB. The plane was substituted from an A346 to a 343 and in the end there were only about 3 empty seats in UC. I'm currently the only one with a seat selection on my YVR flight in UC. When I first booked there were 2 other seats selected but they have disappeared ?|

Also remember that the loads for the return flight will also influence if a flight operates. It may be empty going out but full on the return

Looks like VS9/10 is not operating today, and trying a dummy booking not next Tues or Weds either, or the same days week after. I am on VS009 next Thurs, so assume if they were going to pull it I would have been notified by now as it looks like some cancellations have been planned for the next three weeks already.

I realise it could be pulled on the day for operational reasons but for light loads does anyone have a feel for how much notice is often given?

Expert flyer certainly shows Economy full on the Thurs. I am on an L ticket but upgraded with miles the outward to PE and return the following Monday to UC.

For a planned in advance cancellation they give a minimum of two weeks notice (otherwise the EU 261/2004 regulation starts to kick in) but they usually give more than that.

Oh dear. Sometimes a little knowledge is a dangerous thing indeed. Now I am on edge about my VS009 flight in June being cancelled and that is a long time to be on any edge !
:?

Post Easter flights do get quiet, but in June they will pick up, I am sure you'll be OK.
