MIA Lounge

Hi,
In July I will be travelling UC from MIA to LHR and am just wondering which lounge is available to me at MIA?
What's it like (e.g. in terms of food)? Is it pre or post security?
Thanks

If it hasn't changed sine March when I was there last - it's a pretty bad attempt at a lounge, by all accounts. It is past security and shared by all airlines using that wing.

Rack of drinks, tiny stale sandwiches and cookies! Nothing to write home about, but better than nothing.... barely!

LOL!!!

Anyway, its the Club America lounge, after security.

For food, well, strange nibbles, DRY sandwiches and soup (the soup can be alright sometimes...).

Coffee, soft drinks and some limited alcohol available.

Free WiFi too.

It's not a very nice place, normally very busy, but quite quiet, a lot more relaxing than downstairs in the main departure area though.

I'm on record as describing MIA airport is a hell hole - as Hamster says the lounge is slightly better than the departure area and quite close to the gate, other than that it would be cruel to raise your hopes!

I think the worst part of it (apart from the dodgy sandwiches and snacks) is the lack of windows. Get there as late as possible to minimise the amount of time spent there.

Oh dear. Another reason I am wishing I hadn't chosen to fly to Miami !

But Miami itself is great, just don't get to the airport early, and if you do there's a rooftop bar in that hotel just at the terminal that is more fun.

More comforting advice, thank you Slinky ( see VS009!).
