Greetings from the SFO CH

Hello everyone! Cosmic girl is here and looking fine in the Californian sunshine, managed to nab 28A in PE which is ace, though there's a slight story to it.

Sometimes I wonder, and generally they're super nice, whether the SFO check-in staff think before they speak. I say this, because last time I flew VS from SFO the check-in supervisor came to speak to me when I checked in to demand to know where I'd got my upgrade to PE from, he claimed that what I'd paid wasn't possibly an upgrade as it was way too low. He looked somewhat sheepish when I showed him the receipt from the VS website confirming the upgrade. Silly.

Today, I asked the agent to see if the exit/bulkhead's were free and in particular 28A. She replied no, it's completely full. So I just asked (politely I hasten to add) "don't you assign those at the airport"...she says "Yes sir, but you have to understand that these are reserved for our top level frequent fliers, so I can't give them to you!"....."Yes, ok, but I'm an Au card holder" to which she replies "Oh yes, I should've looked, yes, we'll get you 28A!". Oh well, I got it so no complaints. :D

Looking forward to doing my first v-flyer trip report.

Also, forgot to add. At check-in they were asking for volunteers to fly tomorrow.

Sounds like an interesting trip report is on its way. But it is shocking at times, the conversations one has with VS check in staff at the "out stations". There are times that I believe that they're all outsourced and don't really get much training. I once was asked when I arrived for check in if I was supposed to be flying out that morning. I was in a bad enough mood to reply curtly that he should have a look at the ticket I'd just handed over

Indeed Tinuks, related to my recent post I ask at ORD check in if we're still using the SAS lounge to be told "yes sir", only to be sheepishly ejected ... I can excuse this at ORD since all the agents are probably just getting used to things, but at SFO?

Just a shout back from the other clubhouse in California: LAX! Or well the new zealand one.

Where they play the most annoyingly loud music over the speakers all the time. I'd rather be stuck in a elevator with Celine Dion sometimes then here.. :P

Here's to looking down at you, in a geographical sense! Safe flying!
