Hi, can anyone tell me whether Virgin are likely to send the A340-300 to Antigua during June this year as the website is indicating? I thought this aircraft was exclusive to LHR?
Thanks

Which website indicates that?
The 343 has never been used on the ANU route before, The only time I've ever seen one here was a diverted flight heading to BGI from MAN (I live next to the airport). I suppose it's possible with the refits taking place.

I have attached a screen print of the flight just so you can see that I'm not making it up

i did the LHR-ANU route on BWIAs a340 in 2005, the fully painted one, not the white ex-Virgin one (dont mention the 1996 landing)

I know when I have booked reward tickets in the past the flights always come up as operated by an A343 before I book the flight selecting the flight number as you have done here....must be a IT issue (not sure why or how this happens though!)
But as others have rightly said it certainly looks like a 744 operating the flight so just an IT glitch.

Yes very odd, LGW-ANU-UVF as VS084
I'm not sure VS have ever done this before, must be struggling to put bums on seats for the caribbean in summer.
I am flying out of ANU next week, and as of now there are only 70+ people booked on the 744.

How do you know the number?

I have my sources ): (Not EF, although that does back up the number)
Yesterdays flight left with just over 100 seats used, picking up more in BGI, but still 100+ empty seats, going to LGW.
I guess the loads will pick up slightly over the summer hols, but due to low loads June is a particularly good month if you're looking for reward seats to the Caribbean, or just want a row to yourself in economy.

I'm flying to UVF on June 1st and back on the 8th and both flights look very busy from the seat maps. I guess with it being Jubilee week with the extra Bank Hol it doesn't give a true reflection of June loads, but even so I was quite surprised how busy it seems for a caribbean route at this time of year.
