Guess it must point to my state of boredom that I'm posting this... Waiting for the family to arrive (as I came straight from work), and then onto the CH ahead of our flight to DXB this evening. Finally getting some value out of that garish AU card this year

Strangely quiet at the check in desks - I'd heard something about today predicted as one of the busiest days ever for Heathrow... Not what I'm seeing.

Wish they'd damn well get here. I'm certainly not PAYING for a drink!!!

I see from the flight itinerary you are traveling in economy. When we travelled to Dubai last March in economy the staff in the CH changed our seats to emergency exits free of charge. It might be worth asking if you haven't already booked them.

Thanks Daffodil, and nice idea, but when travelling with small children, exit seats are not a possibility!

It was packed earlier! the A-zone was full of people, looked like VS had plenty of staff though.

Hmm, perhaps you know something that I don't... Sadly I'm a bit short of 'brokers' to comp me drinks right now, but if you have any to spare that you could lob in my direction, I'll be sure to call them!

Anyway, safely amongst the bling of Atlantis now. Must try to actually get out of the hotel this year, as I don't want to get berated again for missing out on local culture when I post my TR
