VS94 Query

Hi all, not been here for a while but have a quick Q on behalf of my parents who have booked a cruise from Cancun early next year and will be flying on VS094.

Seatguru suggests this is a 747-400 but can anyone tell me when my parents can choose there seats? They're flying PE but Virgin have told them they can't choose seats until the day before travel which I'm sure is wrong. They've also said that the aircraft they will be using is not set yet.

Any help appreciated.

Hi

This will be flown by one of the LGW/MAN 747's which are currently undergoing refits, and it wont be known until just before the flight whether they will be getting a refurbished plane. Hence they cannot select their seat yet.

THere are several threads on here about LGW refits and Barberella, who was the fitst plane treated.

As RLF has said, there are numerous threads about this, both here and on the VS facebook page.

The non availabilty of seat requests in 2013 is due to VS upgrading the booking system. It is nothing to do with the refits.

No one can request a seat for after 1st November 2012 on any route or any cabin.

Nobody knows. It will depend on how soon the webpage will be up and running
