LGW-St Lucia

I'm scheduled to fly LGW - St. Lucia on Friday (June 29th). My original flight had been cancelled and I was moved over to VS083.

On the My Booking page on virginatlantic.com, the flight is shown as "Class P" so should still be PE however the box on the page doesn't have the PE branding. The return flight didn't change and shows the PE logo.

VS083 doesn't appear in the v-flyer "Flight Status" list.

I know there's various things going on with the aircraft refit programme, so is this strange flight number/appearance related to that?

Hi and Welcome.

The VS83/84 was/is showing on the summer schedule as only due to operate on the 26th May, with the VS33/34 operating all other dates, so for some reason they must have decided to operate it more.

The current refits will have had no impact on this, as it purely seems to be a flight number change, most likely to do with use of slots as the 83/84 departs/arrives later than the 33/34.

The 83/84 is a new low season flight to St Lucia via Antigua, operating instead of the 31/32 on certain days. In the past they have always combined the BGI and UVF flights as VS37/38 but for some reason have changed it to ANU for a period of time this year.
