Spent 9 hours in there once thanks to a 6 hour delay, I didn't care one jot! Good times.

well, for the Boston flight, I normally get to CH for when it opens at 7am, so around 7 hours...
For Dubai, I arrive around 3pm, so again around 7 hours

Wow, I generally average about 30 minutes, except on a rare trip in with my family in which case I might get a couple of hours. You lot certainly are pros, no wonder there's a 'one free guest only' rule!
Note to self... must check out jacuzzi next time. On a practical note though, how are you expected to dry your swimwear?? And for that matter, is there a lower age limit if my cherubs are interested?
Actually, more importantly, is there a drinks service in there!!

How do you do that???? If I am in there for more the 3 1/2 hours I am scared they will not let me board. The red wine keep asking to get drunk. Glass after glass :0

Did 5hrs when we were in the Clubhouse. Managed breakfast and lunch and plenty of drinks in between.

We spent 5 hours there, but being a one off treat for us, we wanted to make sure we had time to enjoy it all.

Personally a planned visit 0f 3 -4 hours is enough but if my flight was delayed I supposed I could *suffer* a bit longer !
If necessary a walk around main departures would soon knock some sense back into me !

Did from 9am to 4pm once and there was a guy in there before me and still there after me.

There's a spin-dryer similar to the ones you see in leisure centers which are very effective.

That question was asked rather tongue in cheek

On your first visit I would have thought 3 or 4 hours was quite enough. After that I would go for maybe 2 hours or even less -- just enough time for some food and drink, and perhaps a treatment. It's a great lounge, but remember it is basically a glorified waiting room, and unless you are there with friends or are a real party animal, then time can drag a little.
My first visit was for 6 hours, I think, because of a delay. I was travelling alone and by the end of the wait I was really quite bored.

Totally agree with at240 here. If there are a few of you then knock yourself out. You can have a bit of a party in there and with good staff on they won't stop you (unless you get to loud 8D ).
On the flip side when on my own, I eat, drink and work. After a few hours I start to think I am going to in a small space for the next x hours and start to go for a wonder around the airport. So 2 and a half / three hours is plenty for me as well.

i always transfer in to LHR from MCR so don't have full freedom of choice when it comes to how long to spend, but i'll choose a 3-4 hour transfer time over a 1 hour one if flying VA.
This coming saturday i'm on VS11 to Boston which flies at 15:35 & i'm scheduled to land at T1 at 11:30 which should see me in the CH by 12:00

We've done about 6 hours in there on the first visit. That was by accident though as the M25 was incredibly quiet for a Friday evening. The second time was about 2 1/2.
This summer we're planning to get to DTCI at 11ish for a 15.45 departure.

Managed 10:00 to 20:00 once! - We were due to depart at 14:00 on VS045 but due to delays we finally boarded at around 20:30.
I was just glad I was in the clubhouse and not in the main departure hall for 10 hours!
