Hi,wonder if anyone can help me out with this puzzle.Me and my family are due to fly to St Lucia on Fri 22nd March 2013,every now and then i go on to the Virgin Atlantic website in the small hope that the seat allocation has re opened. This flight was originaly due to be on VS31 direct to St Lucia but as from today it is showing VS83 via Antigua, which as far as i am aware is not a flight that at present exists, would any of the fine folk on this website have any info on this as i am very confused by this, and also now means my arrival at St Lucia will be 2 hrs later

!

I think it's a seasonal service that only operates on a Friday

If the loads are light then it makes business sense to combine the flights. Happens quite a bit in the bgi/UVF/anu routes

bit early for that though isn't it?
I mean the 22nd March 2013 is in the easter holiday period so a popular time to travel. Many people won't even be thinking of booling holdays now for then.

Take the code change with a pinch of salt. As virginboy747 says, they often combine flights on these route, but as tonty says, it is far too far away and can easily change again.
Given the time of year you're travelling I'd imagine it unlikely that these flights will be combined, The VS83 has never operated in the easter period before, so I'd expect your flight to be direct.
