The recent PE reward seat sale only finished on 16th July, so who know?

Personally - given the huge taxes and Virgin's fuel surcharge it would have to be a VERY good sale for me to redeem in economy, though I do accept that the big Y fares this year - especially during school holidays, make it better value that it used to be.
Also your point about combining the Amex vouchers makes good sense.
