V-Flyer

Hoping someone can help me with my problem.
I booked 2 k class seats (premium economy, miles plus money) at the end of october last year.
We've had terrible news about my mother and things are looking pretty awful. Here's where I'd like advice please :
My travel insurance is for repatriation only, so no refund.
I spoke to 1 VA person, she was able to explain that I could re-book another seat within 11 months and it would only cost 50 per person, she also said that I could do this more than once (I work in school so the dates are really difficult) which would mean I could in theory spend 200 alltogether to book for next August. When I phoned back, got someone else (stupidly didn't get the ladies name), he said no way only the 50 pp - would also be change of flight price which came to around 450 pounds, he has held the last 2 seats flying october half term until tomorrow. Sorry to be so long winded, but does anyone have any other ideas? We are meant to be flying on friday and I'mso confused, thankyou. May

Changes can be made subject to availability in the same class for a charge of GBP50 per ticket.

Also have to pay any difference in fare, taxes, fees and surcharges, in addition to the change fee.

Woudl I be able to book, say for around december time and then re-book for august next year? (to keep within the 11 month of old booking) Thanks

Don't see any reason why not but as Penny_L said you would have to be paying the change admin fee (£50) twice per ticket, plus any differences in fare, which may go up as you are looking at the busy school holiday periods.

Sorry about the terrible news about your mother, if you inform VS about this they might be convinced to overlook the admin change fees given the circumstances, they would however still charge the difference in fare between the dates.
