Access to the lounge is restricted to UC pax, Au card holders and each of those are allowed to take one guest in each.

If you have booked via VH you can buy access for £60pp, but the amount sold for each day is limited.

The only other option is if any fellow V-Flyers are traveling on the same day and are willing to take you in as their guest. If you have a look in the Itinerary forum and see if any other members are flying on the same day as you. If they have an L next to their fight details it means they are willing to take a guest in so send them a PM. It is only 1 guest each so if you have a family you want to get it might be more of an ask.

You can go back in using the Edit function and in the Subject box add [L] |:)

VS posted on Twitter not so long ago that PE ticket holders could pay for UC Lounge entry on the day depending on capacity. No idea how much though.

Update - here is the Tweet response http://twitter.com/VirginAtlantic/statu ... 9219039233
£45 for LGW (subject to availability).

Is also available for £60 at LHR subject to capacity (PE or EC this is for!)

Might leave you 955 pounds short of the price though...

Think I'll "put up" with going into the V-Room for that price, get browny points and buy the Mrs a bottle of perfume or something :D

If you can bring a guest you only need one?

No, people who pay to enter cannot guest anyone. Only UC passengers and Gold members can do that

Hi there, the wife and I are flying LGW-LAS on November 3rd in UC so we can guest two people that day if it helps.

Hilton is fine, particularly if you have status or get a rate that allows Exec Lounge access. Food's a bit on the pricey side IMHO, but it's only a short stroll into the terminal to use one of the land side eating emporia or to raid M&S for a picnic.

The Sofitel is MUCH nicer than the Hilton and although it is at north terminal it's only a short journey on the monorail

Have to say, I even prefer the Courtyard/Marriott to the Hilton. That Hilton is pretty tired now. Handy for the shortest walk, but I'm not a fan...

Wouldn't say off topic. The original question was answered, quite comprehensively. What's come around now is a sub-theme related to pre-flight accommodation/lounges... :)

Happy to cede to those who do this more regularly, but the Hilton did the business for me and for sweet fa in terms of points and status. Horses for courses.

The wife an dI used the Sofitel back in July for our trip to St Lucia and enjoyed our stay there, so we have booked again for November.

You're welcome for the invite.

Not sure what the rate is for the Clubhouse - it seems to vary on a day to day basis and does not strike me as a fixed price.

1 day we called - £60 each for LGW, we went to book it the next day to be told no lounge access was available.

Waited 2 weeks, called back and all booked in for £97 for 2 of us - doesn;t equate to either the £45 or £60 quoted earlier in the thread !

I guess VH(Who we booked it through) change the rates dependent on availability ?

Whilst we have also booked the Hilton for the night before - I'm not that bothered about the continental breakfast there - I'll wait to eat in the lounge :-)
