Hi, I am new to this forum and was wondering if anyone can help please. 7 of us are travelling to MCO from MAN in September, we have pre selected our seats, row 64 mainly due to the fact that all 7 of us are able to fit on the same row and have 2 window seats. Now having looked into things a bit more, row 64 seems to have some bad seating reviews.

I have looked at a couple of seat plans and 4 of our seats have been labelled as poor seats, does anyone know why they are labelled as poor? ?|

You'll be last to be served as you're sat at the very back and the service starts at the front

If you look on seat guru the reasons for poor ratings are due to the location of the rear galley and the toilets. Also these seats will mean you are last off the plane and back of the queue for emigration at MCO. if you can might be worth moving forward as far as possible. Good luck

And to top it all off, Seatguru says the two pairs nearest the windows (64a/c and h/k) have "limited or no recline".

All in all, you're probably better off moving if you can. I'd recommend being as near the front as possible so you're served earlier (meaning they might not have run out of your chosen meal) and you're off the plane earlier (meaning less of a queue at immigration - and queues at US immigration can be LONG - an hour isn't uncommon).

Thanks for all your replies, the location doesn't really bother us as we were aware at the time of pre selecting the seats we'd probably be the last off the plane. What we didn't want was limited or no recline, especially on such a long flight! Will have a look if we can pre select some better seats, however think at this late stage we may struggle.

as soon as you can check in online (24 hours before departure) you may find that better seats open up then.
as others say flying in to the US I would go for a seat as far forward as possible. being one of the first to get food is a bonus

Being last off a plane often works better - for various reasons (all good) we were most definitely last off our BA 747 flight to LAX last year. We joined the end of the Immigration line when we finally got off and were subsequently kept moving to different lines - which basically meant we got through immigration while the bags were still going round the carousel. Of course then we had to join the huge queue to get out through customs....
