A raft of changes for the winter - I think most if not all have been posted in previous threads but a useful summary
here.

Excuse my ignorance here, but having had a glance at the changes, it's not clear (at least to me) which plane type is used for VS003/004.
I am flying out on Saturday 17 November, back on Tuesday 27 November, will it be the A330 or A340 ?
Thanks
Steve

Eh? An A330 takes off and lands every 28 seconds around the world ... a B777 probably more frequently, and there are many thousands of other two engined jets in service some flying across oceans. That's one I'd never heard before :0 .

and you are half as likely to have a problem with half the amount of engines

What plane do you fly from NYC to IAD and how many engines does it have?

Just tried to book VS007 on 2nd Feb 2013 and have been told its not operating. Seems only one flight per day to LAX in the schedule switching between 007 and 023.

Wasn't it SRB himself who made a it an issue over four engines! I seem to remember the slogan four 4 long haul on the side of the aircraft

Just woken up to this one... having a 346 operating the 4 on a Friday is a bit of a result given my flying patterns. Gives me another option back from JFK (yes, maybe I should give the new UCS another go, but it probably won't be any time soon...).
Although still think that I'll take the 46 as a 1st preference as I do so love the A zone of the 744s... that amount of open space is clearly becoming a relic of a bygone era, but one that I intend to enjoy for as long as I can!
