Checking Seat Availability

I've been using flightstats.com to check availability for a possible upgrade on VS073 for 5 October 2012.

It has consistently shown that there is no availability in UC. :(

Out of interest I checked availability over the next few days and saw that there at least 9 seats in UC for the next 3 days.

This strikes me a bit odd - being that it is summer holidays and my trip is a random friday in October. ?|

So, is this likely to be down to seats not being released as yet or because the flight is actually full?

Thanks, Nick

summer holidays = fewer people travelling on business so less UC seats booked, hence showing 9's available

Summer holidays = less people in Upper

Have you checked that the 5th isn't a week of a conference and/or a week either side of half term...?

Looks like no availability whatsoever in UC from the 4th to the 8th.

Remember there are only 14 seats in UC on the LGW/MAN 747s, so they can sell out.

Or is there a possibility that VS has substituted an A330 for those days? They have no UC at all.

Either way an upgrade looks pretty unlikely I'm afraid.

I know it's Columbus day on 8th October but can't be bothered to look for other reasons for busy flights.

If there is no availability then there is no availability!

Still, here's hoping for a refurb!
