As a new person to electronic cigarettes, I know that Virgin have banned them for use in flight, but advise on where to put them ? Hand luggage or checked ?
They are the freshcig model, battery and filter with I assume liquid nitone in the filter.
Cheers

Hi and Welcome.
As you say they are banned and cannot be used at all during the flight when flying on Virgin, although there is nothing to stop you having them in your hand luggage.

Remember the 100ml liquids rule still applys though (although I think e-cigs refills are less than 100ml arn't they?)

This brings up a point that I would like the answer to.
Why are they band??
Does it annoy others? Does it set off the smoke sensors?? Not sure what they put out but it can only be a harmless vapor?
I wait to be informed y)

I saw somewhere that the FDA wanted them banned as a potential drugs delivery system and there is concern that other more nasty substances could easily be placed into the dispencer, this maybe a good reason for not allowing them to be "smoked" onboard
