Looking on the Status Updates, there a positioning flight for Jersey Girl on Saturday to XMN (Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport in China)
According to Wikipedia (I know...), this is a maintenance facility for TAECO.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xiamen_Gao ... al_AirportRefits being moved from Hong Kong?

So that earlier and thought charter, however it could be a move of the refits although that seems a strange thing to do mid contract.
Would go against the usual practice of only having 1 a/c out for refits at time as no sign of ROS coming back yet, although shouldn't be too much longer.
Hopefully someone in the know will be able to clarify.

The only argument for this is that LGW has gone down to one MCO flight a day until the begining of October so they could in theory manage without 2 aircraft.

Could be.
On a non-refitted LGW/MAN/GLA 744??? A case of "All in it together" actually being true?

I think it all points to starting another refit, I think VS could run 2 744s down with the extra 330 around, they could send another 744 from LHR and cover the 5 or 7 from the 346 fleet, now it doesnt have to cover the 39/40 rotation.. When ROS comes back, they could send the next one in and just run 1 extra 744 down for the duration of this refit.
In the past havent Government trips used 343's???
